The Key Club Way

Have a question or want to know something about us? Find your answers here!

What is Key Club? Does it have anything to do with keys?

Key Club is a student-led service organization that promotes leadership, community involvement, character- building, and helping others. No, sorry to disappoint, but it has nothing to do with keys unless you're talking about the key to a good future! =) Key Club membership looks great on college applications, too.

How do I join Key Club?

Easy! Just attend our meetings and pay your dues. Check out our calendar page to see when our next meeting is. We meet in room 219 after school every other Wednesday and always have tasty snacks waiting!

What is Kiwanis?

Kiwanis is a worldwide service organization that was founded in 1915. It is kind of like a big brother to Key Club because members are adults and clubs are in the community instead of through the school. There must be a Kiwanis chapter in the community for there to be a Key Club chapter. A Kiwanis member is a good person to know! Hey, if you're a Key Clubber maybe you might become a member of Kiwanis International someday.

How much are dues?

Dues are $15.00. Remember, you aren't considered a member if you haven't paid your dues! You can turn these in to Kendra, our treasurer at the next meeting, Mrs. Rhymaun in Rm. 219, or to any of the officers with your name(see members page).

Can I still buy a shirt?

Of course! Key Club shirts are $11.00. Just drop by Mrs. Rhymaun's room at the high school or talk to one of the officers (see members' page).

Does Key Club really make you live longer?

....maybe...

Kendra Says: YES! in KEY club you do great things that serve others and that makes you feel good inside....which will make you want to help other people and feel even better...and those who are out making a difference in the world instead of being a couch potato will live longer....

So there you go!! :)
